Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has reiterated his commitment to addressing the country’s economic challenges, particularly the rising prices of essential goods, in a post on X .
Mr. Mahama criticized the current administration, stating, “I am clear in my mind what has to be done to halt the daily increase in the price of food and other essential commodities because of the economic mismanagement by the government of Akufo-Addo and Bawumia.”
The NDC flagbearer expressed concern over the hardships faced by Ghanaians due to escalating living costs. He emphasized the need to restore price stability, remarking, “We must halt the hardship on people, and go back to the days of price stability.”
Mr. Mahama also pointed to key interventions outlined in the party’s Resetting Ghana Manifesto, promising that these measures will “reset the economy and prepare it for growth.”
