Ghana’s Interior minister Mr Ambrose Dery has pledged that, Ghana will support in protecting individuals affected by the Burkina Faso crisis.
This was at a farewell visit by the UNHCR Country Representative Ms. Esther Kiragu at the end of her 5-year assignment in Ghana.
With a solemn vow, he expressed the nation’s dedication to extending protection to all those forcibly displaced from Burkina Faso, placing special emphasis on the vulnerable groups, particularly women and children who have borne the brunt of the crisis.
Mr Ambrose Dery’s assurance reflects Ghana’s proactive stance in providing a refuge for those affected by the turmoil, underlining the government’s dedication to humanitarian efforts in the face of adversity.
