The National Service Scheme (NSS) has initiated a six-month volunteer program targeting National Service graduates and unemployed youth.
This recruitment drive is in response to the significant number of applications received from young people, aimed at tackling the rising issue of youth unemployment in the country.
The NSS in a statement says the program would encompass various sectors such as sanitation, teaching, agriculture, health, and others, aligning with the Government’s objectives to enhance environmental health, cleanliness, and sustainable development.
The NSS also mentioned that an online application system would soon be available on the NSS website to streamline the selection process.
Moreover, the NSS urged community leaders to raise awareness about this opportunity and offer the necessary guidance and support to potential candidates in their regions and districts.
