The Functional Executive Committee (FEC) of the NDC has disqualified Mr. Michael Nii Yarboi Annan from contesting the parliamentary primaries for the 2024 elections for misconduct.
The NDC in a statement signed by the General Secretary, Mr Fifi Fiaw Kwetey stated that the decision to disqualify Mr Annan was based on the findings of the committee that investigated the violence that erupted in the Ododiodoo constituency during the vetting of parliamentary aspirants.
“The leadership of the NDC wishes to put on public record, that the decision to disqualify the said aspirant was taken by FEC, acting on the findings and recommendations of the Special Committee that was set up to investigate the matter. This followed consultations with the Political Committee of the party,” the statement said.
The statement further revealed that as part of transparency, probity and accountability, the NDC has published the report from the Special Committee.
“The party hereby publishes the full report of the Special Committee, chaired by Rt. Hon.
