Independent presidential candidate Alan Kyerematen, has reiterated his pledge to reform the Constitution and combat corruption if elected in December 2024.
Speaking in the Bosomefreho constituency, Ashanti Region, he highlighted the need to decentralize power and reduce the excessive authority of the president, which he believes contributes to inefficiency.
Mr. Kyerematen also proposed making anti-corruption agencies independent from presidential control, consolidating them under a single authority, and appointing a corruption czar with prosecutorial powers.
He emphasized that fighting corruption and promoting transparency are central to his vision for Ghana’s development.
