The town of Walewale is in mourning after the brutal murder of a male nurse from the Walewale Government Hospital by unidentified attackers in Walewale, the West Mamprusi Municipal Capital of the North East Region.
The victim, identified as Salifu Abdulai, also known as “Expensive,” was reportedly subjected to severe beatings and left near the Walewale cemetery last Sunday evening.
He was spotted motionless by some passers-by last Sunday around 7pm who rushed him to the hospital.
Information suggests that Abdulai had a heated altercation with the assailants, which ultimately led to the attack and his tragic death.

“We understand he had a misunderstanding with the suspects and they attacked and beat him mercilessly leading to his death. We are saddened by the incident and the police have since intensified their investigation to apprehend the suspects,” he said.
He was rushed to the Walewale Government Hospital, but was referred to Tamale Teaching Hospital where he passed on.
The Police in Walewale has since arrested one of the suspects connected to the unfortunate demise of the Nurse, who went into hiding.
The police have confirmed the arrest in connection with the murder; however, the motive behind the killing remains unclear and is currently under investigation.
