The Ghana Police Service has invited Kwame Asare Obeng, known in showbiz circles as A-Plus, to aid in the ongoing investigation into the death of investigative journalist Ahmed Suale.
This invitation follows A-Plus’s recent social media claims that he has information pertinent to the case.
The Cold Case Unit, established in October 2021 under the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), has been working on the Ahmed Suale case, maintaining close communication with the deceased’s family.
The unit was specifically created to handle unsolved cases and bring justice to victims and their families.
The police expressed their appreciation for A-Plus’s willingness to share potential evidence, hoping it will provide new leads and advancements in the investigation. “We are pleased that Mr. Kwame Asare Obeng (A-Plus) has indicated he has information that could assist in our ongoing investigation, and he has been invited accordingly,” GPS said in a statement .
The death of Ahmed Suale, which occurred in January 2019, has remained a significant concern for both the public and law enforcement, prompting the establishment of the Cold Case Unit. The police remain committed to solving this case and bringing those responsible to justice, to bring finality to the matter.
