In a series of posts on X, Richard Ahiagbah, the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), highlighted Ghana’s recent achievement of being ranked as the second-best country in Africa for quality education.

He attributed this success to the Free Senior High School (Free SHS) policy, which he described as a “game-changer” in Ghanaian politics and a crucial initiative under the NPP’s governance.

Ahiagbah shared an image listing the top ten African countries with the highest education quality, crediting the Free SHS program for Ghana’s educational progress. “Free SHS is delivering,” he stated, emphasizing the program’s positive impact on access to education and improved learning outcomes nationwide.

He urged Ghanaians to support the NPP’s presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to ensure the continuation of such policies. Ahiagbah warned that if former President John Mahama returns to power, he would “kill Free SHS” and abandon the Agenda 111 projects, which are aimed at enhancing healthcare infrastructure in Ghana.

“Vote for Bawumia and the NPP to ensure continuity,” Ahiagbah stressed, noting that a vote for the NPP would help maintain progress on important government initiatives.

The Free SHS policy, which provides free secondary education for all eligible students, has been a cornerstone of the NPP’s educational reform efforts, aimed at fostering inclusivity and reducing the financial burden on families throughout the country.
