The National Entrepreneurship & Innovation Programme (NEIP) has announced a temporary suspension of its staff, citing unresolved legal and operational challenges regarding their employment.
In a statement issued by management, the agency noted that the complexities surrounding staff employment prevent the use of operational funds for salary payments. As a result, employees have been directed not to report to work starting Monday, February 24, 2025, until the issues are fully resolved.
Management emphasized the need to adhere to due process in regularizing employment matters to avoid further legal complications. It also stated that specific staff may be recalled once the situation is addressed.
The statement further instructed all staff in possession of NEIP property to return them to the HR Officer by the close of work on Tuesday, February 25, 2025. Failure to comply, it warned, would be considered an act of theft.
The NEIP expressed appreciation for the cooperation of staff as it works to resolve the matter.
