Black Stars defender Dennis Odoi has promised to get past their previous errors and play a more cohesive game in their crucial match against Mozambique.
The defender’s assurance comes after a series of disappointing performances by the team, especially after their abysmal defensive outing against Cape Verde.
The right-footed full-back who plays club football in Belgium for Club Brugge said they have put the past results behind them and are focused on putting on a better performance to ensure victory. He said, “Some of the goals conceded could have been avoided but it’s part of football and there is no need to blame individuals, you win or lose together”.
33-year old Odoi, is one of the more experienced members of the team and his contributions will be crucial in their final group match.
Ghana and Mozambique both need a win to keep their hopes of qualifying for the Round of 16 alive. Ghana has one point from their first two matches, while Mozambique has yet to earn a point. The match is a must-win for both teams, and it promises to be a closely contested affair, right from the referee’s whistle for kick off.
