Youth and Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif, has applauded the role of the media in the successful organization of the African Games.
The Games were held in Ghana for the first time, raising expectations among the continent’s other nations.
In the words of the Minister, both local and international media played an important role in providing the rest of the world with an unforgettable experience.
At a media briefing on Monday, he said “We are also here to thank the media, both local and international, for the outstanding coverage that you gave us throughout the journey,”
Team Ghana finished in sixth place recording its highest medal tally at the African Games with (69) while Egypt (192), Nigeria (121), and South Africa (106) made the top three.
