At a recent media briefing, the Majority caucus in Parliament was emphatic that there have been no alterations and no intention for any modifications in the leadership of the majority side.
They expressed full confidence in the current leadership and urged all to ignore any rumours suggesting otherwise. Mr Osei Wusu said “The leadership of the Majority has not changed, and we have not contemplated changing. We have no intention to effect any change in the leadership of the majority caucus. The Parliament of Ghana has adopted standing orders that place the selection and change or otherwise of leadership in the hands of the caucus and not anybody inside parliament.”
Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker, stated strongly that any reports hinting at a potential change in leadership should be entirely disregarded.
