The Liberal Party of Ghana (LPG) has unveiled Elizabeth Sam, an entrepreneur, as its vice-presidential nominee for the 2024 general election during the party’s manifesto launch in Ho. Percival Kofi Akpaloo, the LPG’s presidential candidate, led the event.

The manifesto, themed “A Better Tomorrow: A New Plan for Jobs and Wealth Creation,” outlines key initiatives, including a $10 billion Jobs Fund to support young entrepreneurs, monthly child benefits of GHS 500, and unemployment benefits of GHS 700 for citizens above 18.
Mr. Akpaloo also promised free university education, road infrastructure development within four years, and the construction of a 21st-century national capital in central Ghana to promote unity, jobs, and security. He further proposed legislation to shift national holidays to Mondays or Fridays, extending weekends to boost tourism.
