Former President John Mahama cast his vote in the Bole-Bamboi constituency of the Savannah Region, expressing optimism about securing victory in the ongoing presidential election.
Bole-Bamboi carries deep personal and political significance for Mr. Mahama, who previously represented the constituency as a Member of Parliament before serving as Vice President and later President of Ghana.
Speaking to journalists after casting his ballot, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) flagbearer shared his confidence in the election’s outcome.
“I am confident that Ghanaians will give me the opportunity to serve again. I trust in the democratic process and believe in the choice of the people,” Mr. Mahama said.
He also urged Ghanaians to participate in the electoral process in large numbers, emphasizing the importance of civic responsibility and maintaining peace throughout the voting period.
The former president stressed the need for the elections to uphold Ghana’s democratic values by being free, fair, and transparent.
