The Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) has scheduled its first presidential debate for October 22, 2024, as part of the activities leading up to the December elections. A second presidential debate will take place on November 19, 2024, with a vice-presidential debate set for November 5, 2024. The IEA will also host several “Evening Encounters” with individual presidential candidates, starting from September 18 and ending on October 15, 2024.
These debates will focus on critical national issues such as the economy, governance, infrastructure, education, health, and energy. The debates are expected to provide a platform for candidates to present their policies, offering voters an opportunity to make informed decisions during the elections.
