Flag bearer of the National Democratic Congress John Mahama has again pledged to fight corruption when elected to the highest office of the land on December 7.
For John Mahama, corruption has eluded the country of its benefits, and hence, he commits to fight it, vowing zero tolerance for the scourge during his time in office.
“It undermines good governance, stifles economic growth, and erodes public trust.” He emphasized that his fight against corruption would be unwavering, with a focus on strengthening institutions, promoting transparency, and holding wrongdoers accountable.
In a media encounter on Sunday, he also addressed concerns about the perceived lack of accountability for past corruption scandals, reiterating his commitment to ensuring that no one is above the law.
“My government will leave no stone unturned in investigating and prosecuting corrupt practices, regardless of the individuals involved,” Mr Mahama emphasized.
