The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo says he is satisfied at how the country is sucesssfully navigating through difficulties.
He made this declaration in a goodwill Christmas message to Ghanaians on Monday 25th December, 2023.
The president gave examples of economic recovery including; having managed inflation, a comparatively stable exchange rate, and renewed upswing in economic activity.
“Fellow Ghanaians, I am particularly happy that our nation has turned the corner, following three difficult years we and indeed the world have faced. Inflation is being reined in, we are experiencing a relatively stable exchange rate and growth in our economy is rebounding,” he said.
President Akufo-Addo pointed at Ghana’s steadfast dedication to democracy, peace, and stability, presenting the country as a guiding light in Africa.
Acknowledging lingering challenges, the President instilled confidence, asserting that Ghana is on a path to a brighter future.
He further encouraged citizens to uphold their commitment and determination, saying through hard work, Ghana will surmount the remaining obstacles and ensure a prosperous future for all.
“We remain a beacon of democracy, peace and stability in Africa. The country is not yet completely out of the woods but there is a growing sense of confidence that with hard work and determination, Ghana will make it and collectively we will secure our future.” The president stated.
