The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged Elmina Sharks owner, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, over his conduct during a Division One League match against Swedru All Blacks at the Dr. Nduom Sports Complex.
The incident occured after a disputed penalty decision, which led to disruptions on the pitch. Dr. Nduom allegedly entered the field without authorization to protest the referee’s call, halting play and drawing sharp reactions from match officials.
The GFA further accuses him of inciting players, club officials, and fans against the referees, including reportedly using social media to escalate tensions. His actions, according to the charges, contributed to hostility towards match officials.
Dr. Nduom now faces potential sanctions for breaching the Division One League Regulations and the GFA Disciplinary Code. He has until Wednesday, February 19, 2025, to respond to the charges.
