Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has met with representatives of Twin City Energy and Early Power to discuss unresolved financial obligations owed to the power producers.
The discussions, described as frank and constructive, were led by Reginald France on behalf of the energy companies. Dr. Forson reiterated the government’s commitment to addressing the financial concerns while ensuring the stability of the power sector and maintaining strong ties with the United States.
To advance this effort, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy, and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) are expected to meet in the coming days to finalize steps toward resolving the outstanding payments.
The Finance Ministry emphasized that any resolution will balance financial discipline with support for key stakeholders in the energy sector.
