Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has rejected claims that he approved a $1.7 million single-source procurement contract, calling them false and misleading.
In a post on X, Dr. Forson emphasized that he has not authorized any procurement contracts since taking office and urged the public to ignore these allegations.
“My attention has been drawn to yet another baseless and misleading claim about an alleged $1.7 million single-source procurement contract approved by me. This claim is completely false and should be disregarded,” he stated.
He reiterated his commitment to transparency, accountability, and responsible economic management in the country.
