Ghana is working towards eliminating malaria. This is after it successfully reduced the disease burden and brought malaria under control. The objective of the National Malaria Elimination Strategic Plan spanning 2024 to 2028, is to eliminate malaria in twenty-one districts across the country.
Ghana draws lessons from countries who have already attained this feat, and her plan seeks to deploy new tools and expand existing ones to disrupt the transmission of malaria, through effective leadership, a strong political will and partnerships among others.
