The Electoral Commission (EC) has strengthened its commitment to a transparent electoral process by recruiting over 200 professionals specializing in quantitative fields like mathematics and statistics to enhance the precision of vote collation and data handling.
This initiative is part of the EC’s wider strategy to prevent errors and maintain public trust.
Dr. Eric Bossman Asare, Deputy Chairperson of the EC, outlined these preparations in a recent interview, emphasizing the importance of error-free operations to uphold democratic integrity.
He noted that over 280,000 personnel are set to work on the upcoming elections, with the newly recruited specialists supporting constituency-level officers in ensuring accurate results.
