The Electoral Commission (EC) has refuted claims aired on Wontumi TV suggesting that different voting dates will apply to certain presidential candidates in the December 7 general election.
In a statement signed by Deputy Chairman for Operations, Samuel Tettey, the EC urged the public to disregard the misleading information and reiterated that voting for all eligible voters will take place nationwide on December 7, 2024.
The commission reminded voters that polling stations will open at 7:00 a.m. and close at 5:00 p.m. on election day. Voters are encouraged to participate in the process in an orderly manner, emphasizing the importance of their role in shaping the country’s future.
