Speaker of Parliament, Alban Kingsford Bagbin, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) laboratory in Kaleo, Upper West Region, as part of efforts to promote innovative learning among pupils.
The facility is equipped with robotics tools to foster creativity and hands-on learning, providing students with free access to advanced STEM education. It also features the ASANKA educational platform, an offline interactive learning system that offers curriculum-based content, ensuring seamless access to educational materials without internet constraints.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mr. Bagbin reaffirmed his commitment to sustainable development and transforming education in the region. He emphasized the importance of equipping young learners with the necessary tools to thrive in a technology-driven world.
The initiative is expected to bridge the gap in STEM education and empower students with the skills needed to compete on a global scale.
