The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has reiterated its commitment to peace and democratic accountability ahead of the December elections.
According to Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the party’s running mate, the NPP has consistently demonstrated its dedication to the rule of law and democratic principles, even in challenging electoral situations.
He highlighted the party’s peaceful conduct following the narrow loss in the 2008 elections as a testament to the NPP’s track record in upholding democratic values.
Dr. Prempeh assured the Eminent Persons Group of the Christian Council that the NPP will continue to maintain peace before, during, and after the upcoming elections.
Dr. Prempeh expressed optimism that Ghana will once again demonstrate its status as a beacon of democracy, noting, “With God, it is possible.”
