The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched its manifesto today at the Ghana Secondary Technical School (GSTS) in Takoradi, the Western Region twin city.

The event drew significant attention, with key party figures, including flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and his running mate, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, addressing supporters and dignitaries.

Dr. Bawumia emphasized the party’s commitment to its social contract with the people of Ghana, highlighting the numerous pledges fulfilled over the years. “Indeed, we have listed them to show that we remain committed to fulfilling the social contract we have with the good people of Ghana,” he stated.

He reassured Ghanaians that, given the opportunity, the NPP would implement more impactful and forward-looking interventions to advance the nation’s development. “This exercise confirms that hundreds of pledges have been made to the Ghanaian people, and broadly, they have been kept,” Dr. Bawumia added.

Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the running mate, lauded Dr. Bawumia’s integrity and dedication. “In his public life, he has never been accused of corruption and has never been investigated for corruption. He is humble but firm. He is respectful, honest, and loyal. He is a problem solver and a hard worker. He is a man of integrity and destined to take Ghana to the next level,” he asserted.

NAPO vowed to fight for a brighter future for all Ghanaians, emphasizing the NPP’s commitment to ending “dumsor” (power outages) and ensuring that education is accessible to all, regardless of financial status.

The NPP National Chairman, Stephen Ayesu Ntim, praised the party’s leadership for steering Ghana towards economic prosperity, saying, “Under the visionary leadership of the president, Ghana has risen from the brink of despair. We are on the right path toward economic prosperity.”
He highlighted the party’s far-reaching institutional reforms aimed at promoting good governance and accountability within a stable democratic society.

Moreover, the Member of Parliament for Akim Abuakwa South, Samuel Atta Akyea, underscored the NPP’s innovative solutions to national challenges. “After the manifesto launch, we should all see that the future of this country is not with the recycled Mahama but with Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia,” he remarked. The MP pointed out the transformative impact of the Free SHS policy introduced by the NPP, positioning it as a cornerstone for the nation’s future development.

Elizabeth Ohene, Board Chair of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust, also reaffirmed the NPP’s dedication to inclusivity, equity, and justice. “The NPP government has a strong and unwavering commitment to inclusivity, equity, and justice,” she said.
