The exams will be conducted across 2,123 centers nationwide, supported by 2,123 supervisors, 1,889 assistant supervisors, and 19,973 invigilators to ensure smooth operations.

For the BECE for Private Candidates, 1,366 candidates – 735 males and 631 females – have registered. This number is 25.7% lower than the 2023 figure of 1,839 candidates. The examination for private candidates will take place in 15 centers located mainly in regional capitals.

In his goodwill message to the candidates, President Akufo-Addo extended his best wishes and confidence in their success.

He urged the students to avoid examination malpractices and to approach each paper with honesty, integrity, and a clear mind.

The President emphasized the importance of the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy, which provides every candidate the opportunity to continue their education and pursue their dreams. He encouraged the students to stay focused, remain calm, and give of their best.

The Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT) also in a statement, commended the students for their resilience over the past nine years and encouraged them to walk into the examination room with confidence.

GNAT highlighted the importance of adhering to examination rules and regulations, relying on their own abilities, and avoiding malpractices to ensure a successful outcome. They expressed confidence in the students’ potential to make Ghana proud and wished them the best in their endeavours.

As the BECE gets underway, the nation looks forward to the achievements of its young students and the bright future that awaits them.
