AGLOW INTERNATIONAL MID YEAR PRAYERS FOR GHANA

At Aglow International’s mid-year intercessory prayers for the nation in Accra, members sought God’s intervention for the country’s economic and energy challenges. The intercessory prayers were also for peace and security in the lead up to the elections.

For Aglow members, this regular prayer session is to sustain the hand of God on the nation. They therefore congregated to pray, sing and give thanks at the forecourt of the state house. They were grateful for God’s intervention in the lives of Ghanaians, the president, vice president, former presidents, other members of the executives, the judiciary and opposition leaders. Quoting portions of the scriptures taken from 2 Corinthians chapter 4:8,9, to support the sermon, the prayer director of Aglow International Mrs. Gifty Afenyi Dadzie said the country is in dire straits but not in despair. She said cost of living has sky-rocketed but life will go on, and prayed that even though food prices have soared, the country is not experiencing famine, and there is continuous peace and security, no coup d’états nor terrorist attacks. For these she says God has been more than magnanimous to Ghana

Members also prayed for God to help them lead their lives according to his standard. As the election draws nearer, there were prayers for peaceful campaigns and for the election, and safer road networks.

Thousands congregated for the Aglow mid-year prayer and thanksgiving session including the chief justice, Justice Gertrude Torkonoo. Aglow International is a non-denominational organization of Christian men and women.
