A new survey by Global InfoAnalytics provides insight into Ghanaian public opinion on key national issues, including governance, economic policies, and corruption. The findings highlight growing voter satisfaction with the 2025 budget and varying views on policies under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
The poll indicates that 64% of Ghanaians are satisfied with the 2025 budget, while only 10% express dissatisfaction. On the free education policy, 37% believe it has improved since President Mahama took office, whereas 11% feel it has deteriorated.
Regarding ‘dumsor’ (intermittent power supply), 34% of respondents perceive an improvement, while 20% believe the situation has worsened. On illegal mining, known as ‘galamsey,’ only 10% think it has worsened, whereas 38% see improvements. In mining regions, 25% say the situation has deteriorated, but 28% acknowledge progress, resulting in a net improvement of 3%.
In a shift in public perception, the presidency, religious leaders, and government ministers are now seen as the least corrupt institutions in the country. The Ghana Police Service remains at the top of the corruption rankings, followed by the Ghana Immigration Service and the Judiciary. This marks a notable change from previous reports, with the presidency now viewed more favourably than before.
