The 25th edition of the Ghana Music Awards, now Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), and formerly VGMA, took place at the Accra International Conference Centre. It is a gathering to celebrate outstanding achievements in the Ghanaian music industry.
Stonebwoy was a standout winner, securing multiple awards, including Artiste of the Year.
In an interview with RGGNEWS, Ransford, a longtime Stonebwoy fan, said, “I’m ecstatic about Stonebwoy’s win for Artiste of the Year. His ability to excel in multiple genres, particularly dancehall and reggae, truly distinguishes him.”
Braina, a music enthusiast, also commented, saying, “Although I value Stonebwoy’s impact on the industry, I was hoping Black Sherif would win Artiste of the Year. Black Sherif has had an extraordinary year, with numerous hits that deeply resonate with the youth.“
In all, 24 awards were presented, with the winners including:

8. Dancehall Artiste of the Year: Stonebwoy
9. Best Highlife Artiste: Kuami Eugene
10. Best Gospel Artiste: Nacee
11. Best African Artiste: Davido
12. Best Highlife Song: Amerado
13. Afrobeat/Afropop Artiste of the Year: King Promise
14. Producer of the Year: MOG Beatz
15. Best Dancehall/Reggae Song: Kofi Kinaata
16. Best Afrobeats Song: Olivetheboy
17. Best Afropop Song: King Promise
18. International Collaboration of the Year: Stonebwoy feat. Angelique Kato
19. Collaboration of the Year: KiDi
20. Best Hiphop Song: Sarkodie
21. Best Female Vocal Performance: Queendalyn
22. Best Male Vocal Performance: Kofi Kakari (Team Eternity)
