Fifteen pastors were officially commissioned into service at a solemn ceremony held at the Global Evangelical Church, Kotobabi branch, in Accra.
The event, marked by inspiring sermons and prayers, was led by Rt. Rev. Prosper Samuel Dzomeku, Moderator of the church, who emphasized the importance of transparency in financial dealings within the ministry and personal life.
“Let us be transparent in handling money, whether for the church or in our homes,” Rt. Rev. Dzomeku stated. He underscored that pastors should maintain accountability in all matters of finance, including sharing details with their spouses. Linking the message to the nation’s democratic process, he urged Ghanaians and the Electoral Commission to uphold transparency in the upcoming elections to foster peace and trust.
Speaking on behalf of the newly commissioned pastors, Rev. Emmanuel A.K.S. Babanawo described the moment as humbling and reflective. He highlighted their commitment to addressing the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of their congregations, spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and fostering discipleship.
In an interview with RGG News, Rev. Anthony Kuadey, one of the newly ordained, expressed gratitude for the opportunity. “This moment is a testament to God’s faithfulness. It has been a profound journey of growth, reflection, and surrender to His will. I am honored to step into this calling and trust in His guidance every step of the way,” he said.
The event was attended by several senior church leaders, including Rev. Dr. Yohanes K. Ahiabu, Synod Clerk, and Rev. Dr. Michael Alloteh, Acting Rector of the Global Theological Seminary.
