The West African Gas Pipeline Company Limited (WAPCo) has successfully resumed gas delivery at its Regulating and Metering Station in Tema, Accra. This follows a temporary shutdown caused by a system glitch.
The incident occurred around 10.30 last night, prompting a complete shutdown of WAPCo’s Tema facility.
In a statement dated 23rd March, 2024, WAPCo said the company’s engineers worked tirelessly throughout the night to remedy the situation and gas delivery to customers in Tema resumed at approximately 6.30 this morning.
Moreover, WAPCO is actively investigating the root cause of the problem to provide safe and reliable services and prevent any future occurrences.
The company expressed gratitude to its stakeholders for their patience during the resolution process and apologizes for any inconvenience caused, particularly to customers in Tema who rely on the WAGP for power generation.
