Black Stars coach Otto Addo has made late additions to his squad ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sudan on Thursday, October 10, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Four European-based players have been called up due to the withdrawal of key players. Michael Baidoo replaces Joseph Paintsil, Abu Francis steps in for Thomas Partey, Jonas Adjetey takes Kingsley Schindler’s place, and Ibrahim Sadick is called up to fill in for Ibrahim Osman.
Coach Addo had previously announced a 25-man squad last Friday, aiming to revive the Black Stars’ campaign after a challenging start to the qualifiers. The team suffered a 1-0 defeat to Angola at the Baba Yara Stadium, followed by a 1-1 draw against Niger in Morocco.
