The plight of Kumasi Asante Kotoko continued as local rivals Nations FC inflicted more wounds in their defeat of the Porcupine warriors by one goal to nil at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Kumasi based club now sits 10 points adrift of the top spot. Nations FC on the other hand maintain their second position, just two points behind league leaders Samartex.
Despite all efforts by the home team to split points, Nations FC stood tall making it a four straight consecutive loss for Ogum’s men.
The defeat pins Asante Kotoko in 9th place level on 32 points with arch rivals Accra Hearts of Oak and 10 points behind leaders FC Samartex with 11 games to end the season.
