In a dramatic twist, operatives from the National Security Secretariat have stormed the private residence of Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, Member of Parliament for Assin South and former Deputy Minister of Education.
The operation follows serious allegations made by the MP, who also serves as the Ranking Member on Parliament’s Defence and Interior Committee. Rev. Ntim Fordjour claimed that two aircraft landed in Ghana carrying cocaine and laundered money.
The government has directed security agencies to investigate the claims. However, officials accuse the MP of refusing to cooperate with the investigation.
The Deputy Director-General of the Narcotics Control Commission, in media interviews, hinted at plans to arrest the MP.
Sources close to RGG News reveal that approximately 20 security officers stormed the MP’s private residence on Wednesday.
