Former President John Dramani Mahama has called on residents of Akroso in the Eastern Region to vote for the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming elections, emphasizing the importance of avoiding what he described as the mistakes of the 2016 and 2020 polls.
Addressing chiefs, queen mothers, and community members during his campaign stop, the NDC flagbearer underscored the critical role of the electorate in shaping Ghana’s future.
“Choosing the NDC is crucial for the future of our country,” Mr. Mahama said, adding that a vote for the party would bring freedom and development. He cautioned that failure to make the right choice could lead to continued hardships.
Reiterating the NDC’s vision for a transformative “24-hour economy,” Mr. Mahama promised job creation, economic growth, and prosperity under his leadership.
“Let’s get together and vote for change. Vote John Mahama and the NDC for Jobs, Growth, and Prosperity,” he urged.
The Akroso engagement is part of Mr. Mahama’s broader campaign tour, where he continues to rally support for the NDC ahead of the December elections.
