The National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has reiterated the party’s commitment to youth and women empowerment during a campaign visit to Bole Bamboi, the hometown of NDC flagbearer John Mahama.

Speaking after her team’s engagement with the community, Prof. Opoku-Agyemang described the reception as warm and energizing, saying it reflected the readiness of supporters to mobilize for a significant voter turnout and ensure active participation in the electoral process.

She noted the enthusiasm of the youth for the NDC’s proposed National Apprenticeship Programme, emphasizing its potential to create jobs and equip young people with skills to support their families.

“The youth in Bole are excited about the opportunities this programme promises, and it’s inspiring to see their eagerness for such impactful initiatives,” she stated.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang also highlighted the optimism of women in the community about the proposed Women’s Development Bank, a policy aimed at providing financial access to enhance their businesses. She underscored the importance of empowering women economically for the development of communities.

“Empowering women is key to sustainable growth, and it’s heartening to see their hopes tied to this initiative,” she added.

She called for inclusive governance that prioritizes the needs of all citizens, fostering a nation where everyone can thrive, regardless of their background.

“As we move forward, let’s come together to RESET this country and build the Ghana we want—a nation where every citizen has the chance to succeed,” she urged.

The campaign stop in Bole Bamboi is part of the NDC’s broader efforts to galvanize support ahead of the December elections, with a focus on key policies aimed at improving the livelihoods of Ghanaians.
