Leicester City have appointed Steve Cooper as their new manager on a three-year deal, which runs until the summer of 2027.
The 44-year-old, who has been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in December and replaces Enzo Maresca, who left to join Chelsea earlier this month.
Cooper was manager for Nottingham Forest who happens to be Leicester’s East Midlands rivals last December, as the club suffered in 17th place in the Premier League after a run of just one win in 13 games.
The Foxes won the Championship last term and will face Tottenham in their Premier League opener at the King Power stadium on 19 August.
