Former President John Agyekum Kufuor has expressed confidence in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, as the leader to revitalize Ghana’s economy if elected in the December elections.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday, November 17, Mr. Kufuor lauded Dr. Bawumia’s expertise in economic management, recalling his pivotal role in stabilizing the local currency during the former President’s administration.
“Given the current global circumstances, I firmly believe Ghana’s economy will experience significant improvement if Bawumia is elected as President. With divine guidance, he is capable of delivering on this promise,” Mr. Kufuor remarked.
He highlighted Dr. Bawumia’s contributions as part of the Bank of Ghana’s team under then-Governor Dr. Paul Acquah, describing his work as instrumental in strengthening the nation’s financial stability.
The former President urged Ghanaians to support Dr. Bawumia with a decisive vote, emphasizing his potential to accelerate the country’s economic progress.
