It was a battle for supremacy, a fight for bragging rights, a chance to etch their names into the annals of Ghanaian footballing history.

The first half was a tense affair, a study in tactical chess, with both teams wary of conceding the first goal. Kotoko, with their direct approach, pressed forward, their attacks fueled by the relentless energy of their midfield maestro, Justice Blay.

The breakthrough came in the first half when Kotoko was awarded a penalty and was expertly converted from 12 yards out.

The second half began with a renewed sense of urgency. Hearts, got their needed goal to bring them into the game after a goalkeeping error from the Porcupines goal stopper.

Kotoko doubled their lead after Hearts defense were caught off the hook sending the ball rippling into the back of the net, silencing the Hearts fans and sending the Kotoko faithful into raptures.

Hearts, with their hopes fading, threw everything they had at Kotoko, their attacks becoming more desperate, their frustration growing with each missed opportunity. But Kotoko, their defense resolute, their passing accurate, their composure unwavering, held firm, their counterattacks a constant threat.

This will be a victory that would be etched into the hearts and minds of their fans, as they prepare for the upcoming Ghana Premier league season.
