The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mr. Christian Tetteh Yohuno, has engaged former Inspectors-General of Police in a high-level meeting at the National Police Headquarters, Accra, to seek their counsel and share experiences aimed at enhancing the administrative and operational effectiveness of the Ghana Police Service.
The meeting, which also sought to foster stronger collaboration between the current leadership and its predecessors, brought together notable former IGPs, including Mr. C.K. Dewornu, Mr. Ernest Owusu Poku, Nana Owusu-Nsiah, Mr. Patrick Acheampong, Mrs. Elizabeth Mills-Robertson, Dr. John Kudalor, Mr. David Asante-Apeatu, and Mr. James Oppong Boanuh.
Discussions centered on key issues affecting the police service, such as personnel welfare, crime-fighting strategies, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing reforms. Broader concerns regarding national security, law, and order were also addressed.
The meeting concluded with a commitment to hold regular engagements to support the continued growth and development of the police service. Also in attendance were members of the Police Management Board (POMAB).
