The Electoral Commission (EC) will reprint all ballot papers for the Ahafo and Volta regions due to issues with serial numbers.
The Deputy Chairman of Operations, Samuel Tettey, disclosed this during an emergency Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting on Friday, November 15.
While the printing process for ballot papers has mostly been smooth, concerns were raised about incorrect serialisation for the Ahafo and Volta regions. The EC has deployed teams to address the issue at the printing house but decided to reprint the ballots to resolve remaining discrepancies.
The Commission has chosen Buck Press and Acts Commercials to handle the reprinting of both presidential and parliamentary ballots for the affected regions. A detailed printing timetable will be shared with stakeholders.
Plans for the disposal of defective ballot papers will also be communicated to political parties, and a certificate of destruction will be issued to ensure transparency.
The EC clarified that the ballots were not distributed and do not require a recall.
