The Electoral Commission (EC) has announced the ballot statistics for the upcoming 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections, guiding the printing of ballots.
The EC based its calculations on the total number of voters on the 2024 Provisional Voters Register (PVR) with a two percent increase, to ensure accuracy in ballot production.
In a statement, the EC noted that while it encourages full voter turnout, it also acknowledges that not all registered voters will participate in the election.
Despite this, the Commission is confident that using the PVR plus a two percent margin will prevent ballot shortages or wastage, ensuring smooth election operations.
The EC emphasized that this methodology has been in use since 1992 and has proven effective in managing ballot production during past elections.
