The Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Richard Ahiagbah, has accused the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of planning violent activities in specific constituencies within the Greater Accra Region ahead of the 2024 general elections.
In a post on X , Mr. Ahiagbah listed five constituencies Ablekuma, Odododiodio, Awutu Senya East, Ayawaso West Wuogon, and Dome Kwabenyawhere he claims the NDC is allegedly plotting such actions.
He called on the NDC to clarify their intentions in these areas, asserting that “violence ruins” and urging Ghanaians to reject any acts of aggression. Mr. Ahiagbah further expressed confidence in the electorate’s ability to uphold peace and stability during the electoral process.
The NDC has yet to respond to these allegations. Political observers note increasing tension as Ghana approaches the 2024 elections, raising concerns about the need for a peaceful campaign environment.
