The Black Queens came into the game on the back of a 1-0 deficit at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday.
Barbra Banda scored a brace in the game to seal a 3-3 draw for Zambia and ensured they qualified on aggregate against Ghana.
A late error in the game by Jennifer Cudjoe saw her sent off for a second yellow card with Banda stepping up to get the all-important goal they needed.
Nora Häuptle and her team will now switch their attention towards preparations for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Morocco.
