Trade Minister Kobina Tahir Hammond, the current Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa has allegedly threatened to physically harm his opponent, Sammy Binfoh, during the parliamentary primaries of the New Patriotic Party.
KT Hammond promise to win the poll against the contender, while also expressing plans to mobilize individuals to engage in physical altercations against him.
The MP claims to have proof that his rival has hired thugs to beat his supporters.
“I am going to ensure that he is mercilessly beaten to pulp. I will humiliate him at the polls and get him beaten. I am not going to organise disturbances, I am just putting it on notice. I will not disorganise anything here, but get him wherever he is and tell him to leave town immediately,” said KT Hammond.
The NPP is holding its parliamentary primaries to select candidates for the 2024 general elections.
