The Ministry of the Interior has announced that Monday, March 31, and Tuesday, April 1, 2025, will be observed as public holidays across Ghana in celebration of Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Eid-Ul-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, is a statutory public holiday in Ghana. This year, the festival falls on Sunday, March 30. To ensure the public can fully participate in the festivities, President John Dramani Mahama has issued an Executive Instrument (E.I.) under Section 2 of the Public Holidays and Commemorative Days Act (Act 601), declaring the subsequent Monday and Tuesday as additional public holidays.
The government encourages all citizens to observe these holidays respectfully and participate in the nationwide celebrations.
