President John Dramani Mahama has assured that Ghana’s foreign policy towards the United Kingdom will remain consistent despite the change in administration. The President made this statement during a meeting with UK Deputy Prime Minister Angela Rayner, who is on a two-day visit to Ghana.
President Mahama emphasized the enduring diplomatic and economic ties between the two countries, underscoring the shared history in trade, investment, and development. “Our government remains dedicated to deepening our engagement with the UK in areas that drive economic growth and mutual prosperity,” he stated.
The visit by Deputy Prime Minister Rayner highlights the UK’s continued interest in strengthening bilateral relations with Ghana, particularly in the realms of trade, investment, and security. Discussions between the leaders included strategies for enhancing economic collaboration and advancing Ghana’s development agenda.
