The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has advised customers using Nuri prepaid meters to purchase sufficient credit to last at least a month ahead of an ongoing system upgrade.
The upgrade, which involves the Standard Transfer Specifications (STS) metering systems, including Nuri prepaid meters, aims to enhance vending services. ECG issued the notice on Saturday, November 23, 2024, emphasizing the importance of the process in maintaining seamless operations.
“This is a crucially mandatory STS upgrade designed to ensure uninterrupted vending service,” the company said, encouraging customers to top up their meters in advance to avoid disruptions.
