During a spirited campaign visit to Ave Dakpa in the Akatsi North Constituency, NDC running mate Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang received a warm reception from the local community, engaging with traditional leaders, artisans, pensioners, youth groups, and professional associations.

In a significant gesture of honor, she was installed as a queen mother under the stool name Mama Ngorgbe II, a title she accepted with heartfelt gratitude.

Addressing the gathering, Professor Opoku-Agyemang underscored the NDC’s commitment to advancing key sectors, including education, health, social infrastructure, and agriculture.

She highlighted specific pledges from the party’s manifesto, such as establishing a 24-hour economy, setting up service centers to aid agricultural production, launching a Women’s Development Bank, enhancing skills development programs, and initiating the “One Million Coders” project to equip young Ghanaians with digital skills.

She was accompanied by Hon. Peter Nortsu, Member of Parliament and parliamentary candidate for Akatsi North, who emphasized the NDC’s historical contributions to the area. He cited improvements in healthcare, education, and the provision of essential amenities such as water, electricity, and road infrastructure, all of which he credited to the NDC’s leadership.

The visit, marked by enthusiastic support and cultural celebration, further solidified the NDC’s ties with the Volta Region, reinforcing the party’s vision for a prosperous Ghana where resources and opportunities are accessible to all.
